What is Servo Controlled Cop Winding?

The Servo Controlled Cop Winder is an advanced yarn winding machine engineered for precision, consistency, and versatility. Powered by a servo-driven system integrated with a PLC, it enables automatic winding operations with constant yarn tension and uniform speed across the entire package, without the need for repeated tension adjustments. Designed for flexibility, the Cop Winder supports winding of all yarn types, including pin, bottle, and spool bobbins, while maintaining constant yarn speed up to 700 meters per minute through positive winding methods. It handles a wide denier range with adjustable parameters, accommodating cops such as 30/6, 50/48, 70/72, 82/48, 84/36, and 150/36. The winder also supports multiple winding styles—Wrap, Filling, Wandering, Compound, Bottle, and Bobbin winding—making it suitable for diverse textile applications.

Additional advanced features include automatic density selection for textured and crimped yarns, as well as individual spindle brakes for better control. The machine is primarily used for rewinding filament yarn from larger cheese packages into smaller cops, ideal for twisting machines, as well as for cheese-to-pin winding, bobbin winding, and bottle winding.
